Sole Water? What’s that?!
Adrenals love salt, have you tried sole water to heal tired adrenals?
Not table salt that is made of only sodium and chloride. I am talking about combining mineral-rich, unrefined natural salts and water to make a electrolyte-dense brine that you take as a supplement every morning.
An electrolyte is a compound that ionizes when dissolved in liquid, it becomes a charged molecule. Different types of electrolytes include sodium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, calcium sulfate, magnesium, and phosphate.
When you combine natural salt and water, the positive ions of the salt surround the negative ions of the water molecules and vice versa, creating a totally new structure with an electrical charge that is more absorb-able for the body. When you drink it, the electrical charge of the solution helps the body to send electrical signals from one cell to another and helps the kidneys in to maintain fluid and balance the body.
Two of the most common salts used to make sole water are Grey Atlantic Sea Salt (sometimes called Celtic Grey) and Himalayan Pink Salt.
However, there are many other great mineral-rich salts to choose from. I personally use the pretty Himalayan Pink Salt. Unlike other salts, it is extracted by hand and doesn’t contain additives or undergo much processing. Therefore, Pink Himalayan salt boasts over 84 minerals and other elements, such as iron, magnesium, calcium, and potassium
Benefits of Sole:
- improves digestion
- assists in detox and balances pH in your body
- balances blood sugar
- improves bone health
- boosts energy levels
How to make your own sole water
- To make your own sole water, fill a glass jar a quarter of the way with Pink Himalayan salt you can buy here or here.
- Then top off the jar with water, stir with a plastic spoon (not metal) seal it with a lid (not metal) you can use plastic wrap or parchment to cover top of jar and then secure a rubber band around it., and let it sit for 12–24 hours. If all of the salt dissolves after you let it sit, add small amounts of salt until it no longer dissolves. At this point, the water is fully saturated.
- When you want to try it, drop 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of sole water into 1 cup (240 ml) of water.
