How to Make Cobbler Oats
- Bowl of Oats (make your oats the consistency you like them). If you like sweetener add a little here, but keep them plain, unless you want to add some cinnamon.
- Frozen Berries of Choice (I like to use Mixed Berries, Blueberries & Strawberries, or Cherries)
- Sweetener of choice I use 1 swirl of maple syrup. mix . You can use whatever sweetener your comfortable with. Just mix your sweetener with just 1-2 tablespoons water.
- Cinnamon
To make the berry syrup, put desired amount of frozen berries in a small pot. Add the sweetened water and cook on medium high. sprinkle in a little cinnamon and mix. Let the berries cook down. The frozen berries will create a syrup with the sweetened water you added. Just keep cooking and stirring. Make sure to break some of your berries down as you go so that they get heated thoroughly. You don’t want a yummy warm bowl of oats and cold berries. These are an E unless you add more then a tsp of a fat source then they become a crossover XO
This would be so yummy over some on planned yogurt or vanilla ice cream, even pancakes which I love topped with sweet cashew cream!!!
Always eat to Live!
