Lemonadddeeeee! YUM! This Lemonade is sugar free, sweet and sour and Pink!
Drinking water is the “gold standard” for staying hydrated for all ages, its essential for health. It keeps your skin glowing and helps flush toxins and fats from our body. It can ward off nausea in pregnancy and help maintain your milk supply while nursing a baby.
I hope life has given you some lemons — because it’s time to make some lemonade!
Not one of those powder types that you scoop out into a pitcher… or lemon “drinks” full of high fructose corn syrup… because to get the maximum benefits of this lemonade, you’re going to have to squeeze some real lemons.
Since lemonade contains a lot of water, it does replenish your body with fluids. And lemon juice is packed with vitamin C and disease-fighting antioxidants which is a bonus.
But you can take your lemonade to another level by combining it with another miraculous ingredients that can give your new concoction even more health benefits.
Beetroot powder!
Just a small pinch of this beautiful red powder is tasteless in lemonade but gives your lemonade that fun pink color plus
Beetroots are a great source of many essential vitamins and minerals.
- Folate (vitamin B9). One of the B vitamins, folate is important for normal tissue growth and cell function. It’s particularly necessary for pregnant women
- Manganese. An essential trace element, manganese is found in high amounts in whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables.
- Potassium. A diet high in potassium can lead to reduced blood pressure levels and positive effects on heart health
- Iron. An essential mineral, iron has many important functions in your body. It’s necessary for the transport of oxygen in red blood cells.
- Vitamin C. This well-known vitamin is an antioxidant that is important for immune function and skin health.
How I made it
This is a single serve Lemonade. If you follow these instructions it should be pretty perfect (smile). Make sure you use “in season” lemons.
- 24-26 oz glass jar with lid. ( ex. classico pasta sauce jar)
- 2 full lemons cut into half then fourths. squeeze each section into the cup and drop the lemon slices in also.
- 1 full doonk of Pure Stevia from THM (i have not made this with any other sweeteners. If your good with conversions you can always try another, but i cant guarantee it will taste perfect.(wink)
- pinch of beetroot powder you can get it here .
- fill your glass with ice to the top.
- add your lid and shake really good.
- add more ice to top and enjoy!
